Making a MIDI expression slider?

Hi Rob - very happy with your product. Works exactly as advertised. I was wondering if I connected a slider to MIDI expression, would it assume its an expression pedal and enable me to use the slider for dynamics or other MIDI features? If so, would I be able to connect 2 sliders to one of your multi input Expression boxes and control say Expression and Dynamics? I'm looking for a home brew version of the Palette sliders. Thanks!
