Recent conversion of a Tama Club Jam. Excuse the mess, photo was just before Christmas

I also need to spend some time on cable routing.

I'm using with an eDrumIN 10 and Superior Drummer 3.

In terms of gear:
  • Jobeky fast-fit triggers on toms
  • Jobeky adjustable bass drum trigger
  • Drum-tec pro snare (not the latest version - I got a good deal on a previous model)
  • Jobeky dark bronze cymbals
Took a bit of fiddling to dial in but not too bad. I'm happy with the way it plays but there is probably room for improvement, though my approach from here in will be to leave things alone for a while, see how it plays over time and then make minor adjustments. Rinse and repeat.

Hi, that looks amazing!

I've recently implemented a Jobeky center cone trigger in my snare and I'm struggling with it. It's incredibly hot but at the same time requires quite some velocity to trigger on the edge. Rimshot range is _huge_ (wide) and very hard to trigger properly.

Did you have any double/triple trigger issues?
Did it trigger edge when playing fast singles on mesh?
Do you have hotspot issues? I'm unable to turn on hotspot suppression currently and puzzled as to why.

Could you share your settings for the trigger?

Hello.

No false triggering on my side.

Got my eDrumin 8 since start of year and I am also struggling with my A2E snare equipped with a jobeky trigger v2 (center cone) and a SpareDrum Mute 3 ply mesh.
But don't know who is the culprit : the trigger or the mesh ?

Positional sensing doesn't works since the little bar doesn't move consistently, but I think it is not supported by SSD5.5 so no regrets for now and I have'nt really dived in it.

Rimshot detection is ok but I am not really using it since it is too loud IRL (need to get a rubber rim cover).
Crossstick works perfectly on the rim, but is also detected on the mesh 2-3cm around the edge

But what is really starting to frustrating me is the hotspotting, didn't though I was hitting bullseye almost everytime.
So I lookd into hotspot suppression, but same as for positional sensing, it is not reliable at all in detecting it. Most of the time the bar doesn't even move while I am directly hitting the cone location.

3 cones trigger are too expensive for me so thinking to build one my self with the help of the wiring diagram.

Have you finally tamed your trigger ?

Hi guys,
I just built 3 way triggering pads using an old acoustic drums shells.
The pads work really great with my old roland td6 module usign roland pd125 settings in the module triggering settings.
I found that this step is crucial to make the pads work the best.
I'm planning to get the edrumin 10 really soon.
I'm sure the edrumin module will give me access to better settings for my piezzos settings and response.
I will make a video soon once the drums is completly done.

I've built optical sensor for the hihat pedal that is powered by a simple usb cord that i plugged into smartphone usb power socket and it works really great. Way better than the basic roland pedal with carbon track resistance...
I'm wondering if the edrumin 10 will translate all the opening changes well with this sensor device...
Do you guys have experienced that kind of builds with your edrumin module ?
