Boss FS-6 dual footswitch input questions

Hi, I have a Boss FS-6 dual footswitch I want to use to send MIDI CC messages. The FS-6 can connect with two individual TS cables or one TRS. The TRS carries one switch's signal on the ring and the other on the tip. Each switch can be configured to momentary or latching.

My main question is—is the eDrumin the right product to convert both switches to MIDI? I know there is also the Midi Expression interface which is pedal specific but the idea of having available inputs for triggers and an expandable system for a comparable price is pretty compelling.

Ideally I'd plug the FS-6's TRS output to the pedal input and have both switches available to be configured. I did go through the manual and couldn't tell if it was possible so I thought I'd ask here.

Dual footswitches are supported on eDRUMin pedal inputs. The pedal input is basically a simplified MIDI expression input.
