Re: Drone optical hihat controller
You're going to be very happy with this device!
Re: Drone optical hihat controller
I sure hope so. I have been playing the hi hat game since the TD10 days. I currently have a TD50 and 14-D but I still don't like the hats when used with Superior. The FD9/CY works a lot better, but its a FD9/CY combo which is just meh to play.
I am hoping this will be the ticket.

Re: Drone optical hihat controller
The key attributes are that it is continuously-variable, contactless and non-mechanical. In effect, then, foot position response is only limited by the inner hihat "engine" of the device it's connected to and after that the actual sample library's sound modeling based on how the hats were recored at each level. The eDRUMin gives you more control over that than anything else on the market. You will tinker for some time but at least you can, which is great for power users. I haven't yet tried levels mode, but I am going to do so. It seems to me that will simplify the data chain so that all the adjustments are done in the eDRUMin as opposed to dialing in the eDRUMin and SD3 transition points. I assume that's a benefit.csnow wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 2:46 pmI sure hope so. I have been playing the hi hat game since the TD10 days.
