New Guy needs connection help

Hi- I'm buying an eDRUMin8 and I read the manual about how to set it up but I'm not very good with this stuff so I have a ddrum4 module and ddrum4 mesh pad with side mounted transducers ?,ddrum4 cymbals are piezo and a ddrum4 hihat also piezo w/magnetic clutch and a Vh-11.It says to input everything with TRS cables but what do I output back to the module for audio(no usb) only midi in and midi out and headphone jack.I realize this is obvious to many and I already inquired that the module is compatible with the ED8 so I am very happy about that what an amazing device.Any help will be appreciated to get going.I think I maybe the first Ddrum user, thanks again,Ken

You want to trigger sounds on your ddrum module?

Hi Rob,yes I previously checked with you on this module and ED8 being ok,but I don't get what output to the module after dialing in the pads and hihats.Any help is great,thanks again

You'll need a 5 pin MIDI cable from the eDRUMin 8 MIDI out to the ddrum MIDI In.

Ok thanks,and what about to my Mac mini is that the usb B from edrum8?I thought maybe the mio iconnect midi interface but is all this stuff that people already know how to use?Maybe this is too hard for me

Yes, you will need to connect the eDRUMin with a USB cable to your mac Mini in order to set up your pads. If you were going to trigger sounds in a program on your computer like EZDrummer, then that's the only connection you would need. But because you indicated that you want to trigger sounds on your ddrum module, then you'll need to connect the eDRUMin and the ddrum together.

I posted a question under the wrong product but is Catalina OK on a 2012 MBP for eDRUMin8 for pad/cymbal setup on a module only,I downloaded it from the Mac OS icon in downloads but didn't see any version parameters,I hope that was Ok I wanted to see if it installed

Yes, It'll run fine on Catalina. In fact I still compile my macOS apps on Catalina.
