ATV aD-H14 Hihats

Just got these and having a bit of trouble getting the pedal calibrated on it. Can anyone share any advice on how to set it up as it doesn't seem to be detecting open and closed settings. I've tried calibrating it a few times to no avail. Thanks in advance for your help!

I managed to get it sorted it in the end although not entirely sure what I'd been doing wrong but working perfectlly now anyway and nice to have full size hats at last. Just need to find the best thing to dampen them down a bit now!
