Two eDRUMin 10s routed to TWO computers???
Two eDRUMin 10s routed to TWO computers???
I have an old cheapo laptop that I've used to setup pads on eDRUMin and it works fine. However, it's too old to run SD3. If I use a USB hub would it be possible to route the eDRUMins to two computers simultaneously? One to run the eDRUMin control app, one to run SD3?

Use both SD3 and the eDRUMin app with the new computer.
Your settings are saved into the devices, that's why they don't need to be always connected to a computer.
Save your settings in the old computer and bring that file to the new one as a backup.

The eDRUMin also has MIDI Din out. If your computer with SD3 has a MIDI Din input, you can connect the eDRUMin to that with a MIDI cable.
Re: Two eDRUMin 10s routed to TWO computers???
OK, but the problem is that my 'fast' computer that I'd be running SD3 and recording on is on the other side of the room. I just want to use the laptop to program the eDRUMins at my kit but want to be able to hear SD3 when I'm doing this. Other than setting pad dynamics, etc., the laptop would not be used.

You can leave the USB cable plugged into the notebook and the MIDI data is sended via the MIDI DIN cable, but you need of course a MIDI DIN input
on the new computers audio interface. That could be a problem in these days.
But:
I lately played around with Spacedesk a Multi Monitor App / Virtual Display Screen to have the SD3 mixer available an on tablet.
But ... nah ... I will use a mouse again.
But maybe that's an option for you.
So you can mirror the new computer to your laptop, that gives you few other great options.
You need a network connection between primary machine and secondary notebook, or tablet or phone.

Thanks for the replies! OK, after thinking about it a bit more, I may try just using another monitor (via HDMI splitter switch) and a keyboard/touchpad (using some kind of switching software) at my drums linked to my workstation and forget about the laptop for now. My eDrums never move so this might be the simplest/cheapest solution.

I use the MIDI DIN output to run across the room (about 15 ft) to connect to a recording/mixing rig running Reaper. I control it with a cheap tablet using Reaper's remote server feature. That computer has an IK Axe I/O interface which includes MIDI DIN IN/Out and Superior Drummer. Would be happy to provide more detail.

Thanks for the info. I ended up building a dedicated PC. I keep my DAW and SD3 projects on Dropbox so when I'm done recording on the little drum PC I can move over to my workstation for editing. I'm loving it so far!

I'm doing something similar: my MacOS laptop running SD3 is in a rack on the other side of the room. I'm using active USB cables to connect to it (you'll run into issues otherwise over long distances) but I control both the Control App and SD3 with my iPad, next to where I'm seated. My iPad is older so Im using Splashtop for remote access (there's a free version) but if you have newer Apple gear you can use the built-in Sidecar functionality.
Miscellaneous Roland triggers. ED-10 + ED-4. MacBook Pro (2015), 16G RAM, Big Sur. Superior Drummer 3. Logic Pro.
