Afternoon all, got my Lemon HHC controller and fairly happy now after set up! Currently using ED3 and I'm trying to find a way either in the Edrumin App or ED3 to close the hat's so the sound isn't so open when open if that makes sense. On my old DTX module it had an option to do this on board.
I obviously get the sound I want as I depress the Hi-Hat Con but interested to know if I can adjust for when playing double bass with the hats wide open etc.
Cheers!

Re: Hi-Hat openness
Easy done.
In SD3 you can just mute the total open articulation, not sure if an option in ED.
3 options within eDRUMin,
1: drag the top of the pedal curve down so the highest midi cc value is ~100, rather than 127 (actual value might vary, but you get the idea) - I used to do this.
2: cheat the calibration, so that full open on the lemon controller is part way towards the top of the green bar (click and drag the right side further right)
3: use the note out option, rather than cc - and just use the same note for part open as full open, or change when full open is activated.
eDRUMin option 1 is probably best, as you're not altering anything regarding notes and calibration, so it's easy to remember what you did if you fiddle in the future.

MWJT42,
Just what I needed, thank you! All YouTube videos pointed to SD3 aswel maybe a hint to upgrade down the line! Also double checked the manual...
Will give that a go tomorrow, I set up using the YouTube video for the VH10/11 and that worked great just way to open for my liking. It did mention linking the pedal and hi-hat but I couldn't see that maybe a Roland thing or dud to the software being updated.

Re: Hi-Hat openness
Awesome, the HH in eDRUMin, when you get it dialled in, is ace. Mine is very natural now
Linking pedal to high hat is not a Roland thing, it's a eDRUMin thing. It's essential for mitigating cross talk; e.g. Stopping foot chicks activating HH cymbal triggering at the same time.
Also, the Lemon controller is essentially a VH11 controller - I'm pretty sure their part number for it is VH11!

Re: Hi-Hat openness
I couldn't see an option for linking a pedal, in the YouTube video for VH10/11 set up it was there must be to do with an update to the app I guess.
Had a play today and still way open which is off putting, not sure if it's an ED3 thing as it seems quite limited compared to what I've seen of SD3 today on YouTube.
I also tried using a different note sound but that screwed up the foot chic and Splash and just triggered rhe same sound.
I will get there

You're probably watching an older version of the video. Check this one.

Rob,
Thank you 100% right! This did not appear in my searches
Don't think it was on the Audiofront chanel, will watch this and have another go today, been close to the end so hopefully this gets me well under way!

Re: Hi-Hat openness
Quick go this morning and one thing I changed is the Hi-Hat pad to input nine so it sits above Hi-Hat pedal 1, also I noticed when I selected the preset for the main cymbal after plugging in it didn't auto change to Hi-Hat 1 when selecting the Roland VH-10 preset.
I'm using a PCY135 as the top pad along with the Lemon HHC, is that normal for it not to auto detect like it did in the above video?
I assume at this stage after pedal configuration I can the select 3 zone Yamaha and Pedal one as it didn't auto detect?

Re: Hi-Hat openness
Confirmed. I'll see what's going on there are fix that. UPDATE: Fixed for the next version 2.1 build.
I don't have a Lemon HHC to test with, so I can't say for sure. Where you able to get the HHC working?
Re: Hi-Hat openness
Hey Rob,
I got everything working now thanks for the video! Spending time now to dial in fully the more I play, I also cross graded to Supperior Drummer 3 which then made a massive difference and given a lot more options to fine tweak the sounds of the hats.
Absolutely loving the ED10! BTW
As far as I'm aware the Lemon HHC is basically a VH10/11 controller so should work exactly as that. I will eventually though go for a Roland VH-13 I think, until then I'm more than happy and have lots to tinker with
