eDRUMin version 2.1 BETA

Post by Rob »

eDRUMin version 2.1 is available for testing. Anyone who wishes to downgrade from this version to version 2.0.x or below will have their devices factory reset, so I advise saving a device preset first so you can recover your settings if you need to.

New Features
  • Added Mesh 3 Side Sensor pad type.
  • Positional Sensing for Mesh 3 Side Sensor pad type.
  • Added Roland PDA-120LS factory preset.
Other Changes
  • Fix 'Independent' velocity curve control missing from version 2.0.2.
  • More hardware performance optimizations.
The positional sensing was modeled around a brand new Roland PDA-120LS-BK (the only 3 cone pad I own), so I have no idea how well it will generalize to other 3-cone pads. With the PDA-120LS-BK I find it hard to get 3 well defined positional zones, but center and off center can be differentiated quite nicely. If you have a PDA-120LS or any other 3 cone pad, I'd love to hear about your experiences.

My dual mono inputs stopped working. Tried resetting and no luck. Do not appear to be outputting. Everything else is fine.

:o

Looking forward to trying positional sensing on my ATV! Nice one for attempting this Rob, having seen it on the recent m*mic update I dared to dream :-)

Confirmed. If the first half of a dual mono input is set to a Mesh or Acoustic trigger pad type, the pad connected to the second half of the dual mono won't trigger. A temporary work around is to set the first half to 'Rubber Pad' pad type. I'll fix it today. Thanks.

UPDATE: Fixed in build 1

Sorry for my confusion. If upgrading to 2.1, do i need to create user presets for each pad OR when the 2.1 control app starts will pull from edrumin mempry of my last saved presets?

Just a heads up. I upgraded to 2.1.0.1 and it changed my bass drum pad type from mesh center piezo to Rubber pad. I was getting weird triggering with the bass drum when hitting my ride at the same time as the bass drum, the bass drum hit would not register. I changed it back and it seems to be fixed.

Thankx I’ll keep an eye 👁 out for that.

Btw, did you select any pad preset for the kick ?
