Hello,
As i needed two additional inputs on my ekit I used my Roland TM2 module and connected via MIDI cable to my edrumin 10 module. I then connected the edrumin10 module via the supplied USB cable direct to my laptop and also my Focusrite interface connected direct to my laptop via a separate USB cable.
I use EZ Drummer and Superior Drummer 3 VST. All worked well.
My set up changed as i now use a desktop pc, but its located ~4m from my kit/edrumin module.
My connection set up remains similar to the above but now I use a 5-pin MIDI cable to connect the edrumin10 module direct in the Focusrite interface and the interface as before connected to my PC via USB cable.
The instruments (sounds) from the edrumin10 module are triggered but not the instruments from the TM2.
Has anyone had a similar issue and any suggestion as to how to correct.
Thanks,
Midi Connection to edrumin 10 and to interface

As I suggested in my response to your tech support question, update your firmware first and see if that takes care of the problem.

Re: Midi Connection to edrumin 10 and to interface
I'm using a 20 ft Hosa MID-520 to go out the MIDI Out on the E10 (original version) to the midi input on my IK Axe IO Solo. The reason I do this is that I run DAW software (Reaper and Mixbus 32C) on the computer with the Axe IO. So the USB connection on the E10 goes to the laptop running on a stand next to the drumkit but the MIDI out goes to the second interface. I grab headphones connected to the Axe IO to record drum parts on the DAW. I use an old Galaxy Tab 8 over WiFi to connect to Reaper's webserver control for transport control and arm record and track levels.

Re: Midi Connection to edrumin 10 and to interface
Hi Rob,
I did the firmware upgrade ... or in my case a downgrade. At the time my firmware version was 1.6.2.4 and it noted to downgrade 1.5.0.16. There was no other option so went ahead. It says this firmware is now up to date for this device ..? It has not resolved the issue and I also lost all my settings. As i am in this state i did a factory reset but no change to the firmware status or option. I have attached an image.
According to your site the latest firmware is 2.0.1.6 and the manual is 2.0.1 whereas I am still on 1.4.
Please also note I did not receive your response via tech support ... just the confirmation that I had sent through the request.
Your help to resolve this matter will be appreciated.

Looks like there was an issue with my email. Fixed. Download the latest version of the control application and then do the firmware update:

Did the upgrade and have latest software. The fix was using the ticking the box for send to self.
Thanks for the prompt support.

Careful with that send to self setting. I think you only need that if you have 'Local Control ' turned off on your Roland module.
Re: Midi Connection to edrumin 10 and to interface
Thanks for the suggestion. My old laptop was struggling to run the DAW (Ableton), SD3 and Edrumin software so got a powerful desktop PC and set up a recording desk, but ~5m from the kit. So ran a MIDI cable to the interface (as usb not suited over that distance ...) located with the PC and for band recording intend to get my vocalist to sit at the PC and control. I intend to use my laptop when i am on my own to just to record drums but will also keep it connected to make adjustments to the edrumin module.dsteinschneider wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 3:31 pmI'm using a 20 ft Hosa MID-520 to go out the MIDI Out on the E10 (original version) to the midi input on my IK Axe IO Solo. Following your youtube link I found a video on how to remotely control Ableton with my tablet. Not tried it as yet but will do so soon. If it works it will sort out the main problem with my new set up.
Thanks again ...!

@Platon, hope it works out for you as well as it is for me. I have also used TouchOSC with Harrison Mixbus 32C.
