eDRUMin version 2 BETA
Re: eDRUMin version 2 BETA
Which input is stuck on bell?
Re: eDRUMin version 2 BETA
I did a quick test and everything seems fine, but there could be some edge cases and I'm setup for recording a video right now so more extensive testing will have to wait.
Here is something you might try though.
1. Plug a cymbal into the input that's marked bell.
2. Change the input above it to 3-zone cymbal and then back to 2 zone.

Re: eDRUMin version 2 BETA
In my case, I have the cymbal itself on input 5, and the bell on 6, below it. Not sure that it matters much. I’ve already tried multiple variations on what you’re suggesting, to no avail. I can get any old input/trigger combination to work on input 5, but input 6 is stuck on “Bell”, and can’t be changed.

Re: eDRUMin version 2 BETA
I tried to get mine stuck for about 30 mins this afternoon but to no avail. Can you save me a device preset so I can load it onto my device for testing?

Re: eDRUMin version 2 BETA
I had issues loading your device preset--perhaps another bug. Can you select the Bell input and post another screenshot so I can see the settings for that input.
Re: eDRUMin version 2 BETA
I reviewed all the code related to resetting an input and made a small change that might fix your issue. Can you checkout build 7? Change input 5 to 3-Zone Roland Cymbal, and then reset input 5 or change it back to 2-Zone and see if that frees up your input 6. You'll need to apply the firmware update as well.

Can't you also send a bank change to a pad by its input number? If so you don't need to worry if it was last selected.mprinz wrote: ↑Sat Jul 23, 2022 10:10 pmHm, the manual says "When you attach a footswitch or sustain pedal, it is automatically setup to perform Bank
Changes for the selected input (the the pad that was last hit). Press the pedal quickly to
select the next bank. Do a long press to select the previous bank.

The lowest value is ‘Cur’ and means the bank change messages will be sent to the

pedal to change its bank. [...]" (p.36)
Send to a Single Input
Perhaps you only need to change to bank of a specific input without needing to worry
about weather it’s selected or not. Using the input values 1-4 (ED4) or 1-10 (ED10), you
can send bank change messages to specific inputs. When sending to a single input, the
bank change will never be sent to other eDRUMin devices connected to the USB host port. [p.36]

Re: eDRUMin version 2 BETA
No, as I understood, here - "bank change message" is not related to the
MIDI protocol bank change (or select) messages (CC00,CC32), but the internal bank change message that is greated
by pressing a pedal.
But that would be a wonderful feature.
Greetings.

This made no difference.Rob wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 4:35 amI reviewed all the code related to resetting an input and made a small change that might fix your issue. Can you checkout build 7?
