head and rim shots at same time?

Post by bpjacobsen »

Is the Edrumin capable of registering both the rim and head sound at the same time for that head/rim shot effect? Also, are all of the ports 3 zone? So I could technically have 3 pads connected to each port if I wanted? I ask, b/c I have two sets of rototoms triggered and it would be cool if I could split 1 port up for sounds to each set of 3 rotos. Is this even possible?

All the trigger inputs support dual zone (two signals) pads, and with those 2 zones it can typically trigger 3 separate sounds, depending on the pad.

You can split an input for dual mono operation which allows you to connect two single zone pads to one input using a splitter cable, but not three. I hope that clears things up a bit.

yep, what about the head/rim combo shots? Is the edrumin capable of registering when you hit both at the same time? I think Roland modules have this ability. Just curious if this does?

Yes, for snares you typically get head, rim, and rimshot articulations.
