Hey Rob,
is it possible that the eDRUMin provides Positional Sensing CC data on rimshot hits? (from real Rimshot Playing Method ( = hitting rim + mesh head at the same time))
---> this will be needed for "Shallow Rimshot" vs "Deep Rimshot" distinction. (Some drumsamplers provide these two Rimshot articulations and you can build (fake) it in SD3 SDXes that don't natively provide it.)
"Shallow Rimshot" = hitting the mesh head near the rim + the rim itself
"Deep Rimshot" = hitting the center of the mesh head (or near the center) + the rim itself
Shallow Rimshots are really relevant: check the TD-50(X) - PD-140DS performance:

Re: Positional Sensing CC data on Rimshot Hits possible?
This would be awesome.
Re: Positional Sensing CC data on Rimshot Hits possible?
This has been brought up before. My position on the matter hasn't changed at this point. When I find more time, I will reassess and reevaluate.
Re: Positional Sensing CC data on Rimshot Hits possible?
Sounds doable in theory. Might be hard to get stable and useful in reality. I guess it would be done by adding the positional data to the algorithm after the rimshot detection is processed.
