The octapad is connected to the eDRUMin via MIDI Din. Is the octapad also connected to your computer using USB? If it is, then you are going to get double notes in Battery--one set from the eDRUMin and one set from the octapad.

I double checked that the eDRUMin isn't sending double notes, so it must be something with your configuration. What's connected to the USB host port? Perhaps that is forwarding notes from the octapad back to the eDRUMin? Anyway, this doesn't appear to be a bug but rather an issue with your particular setup.

octopad is just connected with midi din nothing else. I don't think it is an issue of sending double notes. The issue is that the midi that edrumin sends to the computer into Battery 4 does not get directed through the round-robin setting, so the samples (2 for each octopad pad), are not alternated as they should be. Instead they are trigger simultaneously.
If I unplug from the midi din connection to edrumin and instead connect the octopad to a usb midi din interface plugged directly to the computer, then the round-robin alternating sample triggering works as it should.
I have a Alesis dm7x drum module connected to the host port. that functions perfectly and triggers the round-robin samples fine.
I will try connecting the DM7X to the midi din and see if the round-robin still works. ok I got it to function right but I don't know what the problem was or if it will reoccur. But probably not a bug in edrumin. thanks for your responses.
still 2 questions:*
1.Can I connect a use midi interface directly to the host port????
2.Also did I see somewhere that one can connect a USB hub directly to the host port?
thanks, Mbira

Reporting bug in build 2.0.0.27.
The HiHat user preset is loaded incorrectly, it has one number lower.
Note plays correctly.

If you think there is an issue with the MIDI that the eDRUMin is sending, then you need to provide some evidence (eDRUMin MIDI Monitor, or some other MIDI Logging tool would be an example of good evidence).

The reason I think you Battery is seeing double notes is because you are saying both samples are triggering simultaneously, which seems to indicate that each time you hit the pad, Battery is seeing two sets of Note On and Note Off messages--and thus is triggering both samples.

If you disconnect the dm7x, does the issue go away?

Also, you might want to have a look at the eDRUMin external MIDI settings. Make sure none of those 'Self' buttons is activated (green).

The answer to both these questions is yes. Be very careful though. Unless you have a very clear understanding of how MIDI is routed through those devices, you can easily cause a MIDI feedback loop that will likely cause the eDRUMin hardware to hang. I have not implemented any feedback loop detection / prevention.

I posted build 30.
  • Zero positional sensing controllers values when switching maps, pad types, loading presets, or changing positional CC values.
  • Fixed the wrong splash / pedal note might be shown in the pedal editor.
  • Fixed some weirdness with notifications in the Preset Manager.
  • Added Music City USA SDX drum map.

The original Yamaha drum map is misspelled as "Yahama".
I also want to ask...
I use a 3-zone cymbal Millenium (stereo imput), I used pad type Yamaha 3-Zone Cymbal.
Unfortunately, the edge and the bell are reversed.
I want to ask if it would be possible to create a bell and edge rotation button?
Or if it would be possible to create a 3-Zone Cymbal Millennium ... or other?
Thank you very much in advance.

I'll make a swap edge / bell button. UPDATE: Will be available in build 31.
