I’ve tried this multiple times now with build 22 and 23 (the latest version). I cannot get the drum map to be sent to th3 other eDRUMin unit. My baseline set up is a powered USB hub connected to the ED10 R1 USB host port. The hub has a TD-17 and ED4 connected to it. When I change the ED10s drum map to SD3 (for example), and the ED4 is a Roland drum map, I select the eDRUMin logo. The “send drum map to other midi devices) is not green. I select it anyways. The menu closes. I click on the ED4 and the drum map is unchanged. I go back to ED10 select the logo and the option is now green. So I select it, but again nothing happens.
You are not doing it correctly.

1. Enabled the 'Send to all devices option'. When the option is enabled, it will be green.
2. Go to the preset manager and double click on a drum map and it will be sent to all connected devices.

I've updated the language in the manual to be a little more precise in this regard.

Thanks for clarification. I’ve got this figured out now. No issues. I really like V2. Super convenient to use these drum maps vs global note bank changes. Much easier.

Well my Alesis dual zone rubber snare pad won't work with positional sensing. Is it just not supported? I thought i had it working in version 1.6.
If I don't have positional sensing on the sidestick is really soft I have to turn the scaler up all the way and it is still way softer that Hit (this definitely was not happening in 1.6). With PS on, the SS note plays everywhere (on rim and on all of pad too and is right loudness) and rimshot is triggered randomly. Hit and Pos notes aren't triggered at all.
The fixes you made for dual zone positional sensing all still work great - solved all the other problems. -mbira

In general there have been no changes to trigger settings since version 1.6. I'll check to make sure the changes I made for you yesterday didn't have any unintended consequences.

I assume your pad is Piezo / switch, which means you should be using the Rubber Pad type, which doesn't support positional sensing. Might want to also make you have it set to 'stereo' and not 'mono'.

Hi Rob, Yes I am using stereo mode. I didn't realize it had a switch for rim. I assumed 2 piezos but you are probably right. Maybe i will take it apart and have a look. anyway I can still use that pad with the Alesis module so not a deal breaker. I am just glad everything seems to be working with my single zone DiY rubber pads! Thanks for your replies, Mbira

Feature request: would it be possible to add keyboard input for the controls? As in, double-tap the Gain or Thresh, etc, or any scaler value, and then be able to enter a numeric value manually? This would allow greater control for those of us using touch screens, and be useful for desktop/mobile users as well.

I understand that it’s probably a bit of an undertaking, but it would be really useful to have.

I'll consider it for future versions.

With regard to the MIDI monitor: If I could make I wish I would like to have the text colored like in the MIDI-OX Monitor.
Maybe a different color for hihats, cymbals, drums, CCs, ext. PC messages (are these monitored).

I am not sure if this is a bug or just that my cymbals are not supported. I am using Alesis single zone cymbals in dual mono mode. I was playing around with Bell Sense and got it to work but not consistently. It seemed like I would be able to get it working better by adjusting the bell sense dial. What might be a bug is that the bell sense adjustment dial could not be changed from 75. It would look like it was changed, but as soon as I played the cymbal it would snap back to 75. I did try making big adjustments too and still it would snap back. I didn't really expect it to work with my cymbal but thought if it is a bug you would want to know. -Mbira
