You can only edit a drum map from the Preset Manager. I think the work flow that I will recommend is as follows:
1. Duplicate a factory drum map (which simply copies it to the 'user' list).
2. Edit and save the drum map.
3. Double click it to send it to your device(s).

It did it again....This time only one of the symbols went metal. The first two are my actual ride so meant to be like that. then the second two (3+4)are the ones I had to switch to the setting they were already using to get rid of it. It doesnt change the settings simply the icon

yeah thats what im trying to do but how can you edit it with no ability to actually change the midi notes? there are no arrows to do so and my scroll wheel goes straight through them in like half a second!

I'm pretty sure you are trying to edit the drum map from the 'factor' list. You need to edit from the 'user' list. But your experience reveals a bug. The mousewheel shouldn't allow you to change the notes when you are looking at a factory preset.

I fixed those bugs and I'll put some thought into how to make it more intuitive to use.

Update:
I've changed it so that when you duplicate a factory preset, the list will automatically jump to the 'user' list. I'll see if I can get it to automatically select the duplicated preset as well.

Can you remind me what the issue you're talking about is?

Hi Rob,

an emergency, I can not load my previously saved and exported device snapshots... damn.
You know, after that EPROM re-arrangement.
I can not delete presets they just stay there.

When hitting the pads the inputs light up on some strange other positions ...

You can still roll back to version 1.6 and load them that way. I tested loading a version 1.6 preset in version 2, though, and it seemed to work fine though. I just tested again and it looks like you are right. I will fix it tomorrow.

Fixed. It's a small issue. I can post an update in 10 minutes.

Here's build 10.
  • Updated China, Crash, Kick, egg, floor tom icons.
  • Updated drum maps so that Page 2 kit pieces map to standard kit pieces by default.
  • Changed 'Drum Map Kit Piece' to just 'Kit Piece'
  • Change 'Notes / Note Banks' to 'Custom Notes'
  • Fixed a crash if the image selector is open and the user closes the preset manager.
  • Fixed unable to make window smaller after moving it (macOS).
  • Fixed note controls can still be adjusted with mouse wheel even when disabled.
  • Hide the drum map editor 'SAVE' icon when viewing factory presets.
  • After duplicating a factory preset, the list will automatically switch to user presets and selected the duplicated preset.
  • Fixed issue loading version 1.6 device presets.
