eDRUMin version 2 Alpha
Re: eDRUMin version 2 Alpha
So if there were 32 kit pieces in a map, we could have 2 pages to select from. It could look something like below. And all the images on the second page could be customizable to your liking. For the text below the image, you could also chose from a set of predefined text labels (up to 256). Would that serve your needs?
Re: eDRUMin version 2 Alpha
yes std mouse, yes 2nd ED10 into first ED10.
I just figured out how to break it. When I went back to load up 1.6 again, if I load up my 1.6 device presets for both devices, then go through the installation for 2.0, it is when it hangs on the ''you have unsaved changes, ok or cancel' (does neither ok or cancel, other than highlight the 'ok' and 'cancel').
When I went back to load up 1.6 again, if I DON'T load up my 1.6 device presets for both devices, then go through the installation for 2.0, the firmware (downgrade) installation is normal for device 2, acting just like device 1's firmware 'upgrade'.
Must be something in there unlikeable about the device preset...?
Note: When I've gone back to 1.6 in all cases I do a 'upgrade' to 1.6 from 2.0, not a 'factory reset'.
Sorry if I'm missing any details - I write this from another computer. I have screen shots if you like for step by step, but this is the problem.

Thanks, (I need to study more of what you wrote) and that would be my ultimate goal.Dadwrshpdrum wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 12:09 amThen all of my SD3 and SSD5.5 user preset drum maps are based off of that single note bank.
Re: eDRUMin version 2 Alpha
That looks sort of like what I was suggesting, thanks, that's great.Rob wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 1:22 amSo if there were 32 kit pieces in a map, we could have 2 pages to select from. I really need to watch a few of your upcoming videos a few times through, to get the step by step of what the 'new features of v2' do and to know how to best apply these icons...and I need to read the pre-release manual too!

When you have time, can you export your device presets for device #1 and device #2 and email them to support at audiofront dot net.hang12 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 2:33 amyes std mouse, yes 2nd ED10 into first ED10.

The steps to reproduce should be:
1. Open version 1.6.
2. Load device presets for both devices.
3. Install version 2.
4. Update firmware for device 1.
5. Attempt to update firmware for device 2.
At this point the Confirmation dialog will not close.
Is that the correct procedure?
Re: eDRUMin version 2 Alpha
They idea is to be able to completely change the notes your pads trigger by sending a single drum map to your devices.
Because your setup is complex, you would probably have separate maps for different applications or even expansion packs. I'm really going above and beyond here by allowing you to change images and text.
I will definitely make videos and update the manual after I'm sure things won't change anymore.

what am I being tested for? How does it work?
Doesn't matter, do your best...
cart horse cart horse
just teasing - it'll be fun to see how it all turns out.
Re: eDRUMin version 2 Alpha
Couldn't reproduce the issue. I tested many times both with and without saving after loading the device presets.....I just looked over the code again and I see something thing could potentially cause trouble. I'll fix and post a new build, but probably not until tomorrow.

Hi Rob,
I think my last post was too long:
What pedal type should I choose for a hall effect sensor setup?
Should I try removing the USB voltage I added and see if the bestol a1302 gets a good range with the new firmware?
Thanks,
Doug
