There must be something wrong, but without screenshots of your settings or better yet some video of the UI as you hit the pad, I really can only speculate.

I'll try to sort some video or screenshots later this evening when I get home. You'll probably be able to point out something really basic that I'm missing straight away.

Ok so I'm somewhat nearer than what I was. My lack of understanding when it comes to pad build was holding me back. I've changed all pads to mesh side piezo and instantly they feel more responsive :)
