Crossstick/rimshots and the manual

Post by coenw »

I have a hard time adjusting my eDrumIn 4 for my snare. Rimshots are almost impossible.
The manual says grey is sidestick and green is rimshot. It also says that 'in the image above, a rimshot is triggered', while the image shows the indicator is clearly in the grey.
Am I missing something here?

At some point I updated the image in the manual, and you're right that the text and the image no longer agree. I'll fix that.

What pad are you using? Have you watched the video about rimshots?

Hi Rob,
Thanks for your reply. I'm using an A2E 14x6.5 mappa burl/birch snare with drum-tec real feel mesh head and my own designed triggers. I got a Megadrum too (untill I can get me an eDrumIn10) and ironically that to be doorstopper triggers head and rimshots perfectly, but won't give me sidestick.
Would you be so kind to send me the link to that video?

From the eDRUMin control application, you can right-click on the rimshot range control and a YouTube link will be displayed.

That snare is a thing of beauty. What brand is it? I also love your all metal construction. I've seen it posted elsewhere. Fantastic DIY job, player.
