I am setting up a new SD3 preset and was hoping to have an ED snapshot I could save and load with new MIDI assignments.
I saved out my current ED preset and created a duplicate, renamed it and started to change midi assignments.
I tried re-loading the ALT preset I had saved to make sure it was saving the settings and it does not re-load the midi assignments I had saved it with. It keeps the ones I had changed.
I am loading it by dragging it to the window.
Is this a bug? Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!

Re: Snapshot loading and midi assingments
You should be saving/loading device snapshots not drum maps. You can save a device snapshot by opening the preset manager and then clicking on the icon for you device.
Re: Snapshot loading and midi assingments
OK, missed th4e part of clicking on the edrumin icon then creating and saving kits.
I just created a new preset, thinking it saved everything from both of my edrumins but it looks like it only saved one?
Did I just lose all my settings when I loaded it???
Re: Snapshot loading and midi assingments
Yes, it only saves/loads the settings for individual devices. And yes, you may have lost the settings for the other unit if you loaded the wrong device snapshot to it.
Re: Snapshot loading and midi assingments
BTW, if you just want note assignments, you can adjust the load options so that only the note assignments are loaded--handy if you make changes to your trigger settings in the future and don't want to lose them.
