Cymbal sound assigned twice
I have 5 cymbals. Everyone is correctly named (crash 1 . 2 ride etc) I can not get the fifth to assign the sound I want. No matter what I do another cymbal is also assigned to that sound even though I already assigned it to a different sound. So then both sound the same. Newest firmware. How to fix?

You need to give me more information. What application or hardware are you triggering?

I sent an email too. I have different roland cymbals. I use ez drummer 3. I can assign 4 cymbals correctly. But with the fifth lt always assigns another cymbal to that sound as well. I dont understand. For example , I assigned a splash. Then I assign a china. Then suddenly the splash also has the china sound.
Re: Cymbal sound assigned twice
Sometimes if a particular kit doesn't have a particular cymbal, EZ Drummer will automatically make it trigger something else (instead of nothing at all). Is that what's happening?

Im not sure. I use the death metal expansion. There are more than 5 cymbals in that kit. But as you say, it triggers something else. Is there a fix?
Re: Cymbal sound assigned twice
Have you confirmed what notes eDRUMin is sending? It has a build in MIDI monitor. That's your first step. And are you using a drum map? Typically you would just make sure that eDRUMin and EZD are using the same make (Roland for example) and that's all you need to do.

Yes, roland map. I can see in the roland map that there are 10 cymbals on 2 pages, but many of them has the same note. D#2 , c#2 and a 2 are on more than one each. I guess thats my problem? Then it triggers /. learns other cymbals too beacuse its the same note. How do i fix that? I just want 5 differen cymbal sounds.
Re: Cymbal sound assigned twice
That's because Roland doesn't define that many cymbals. For any non-standard cymbals, you'll probably need to set the output in eDRUMin to 'custom notes' and use some note values that aren't already used.

Wow, I changed the map and now it works. Thanks.
