program change messages

Hi everyone,

I'm getting into note banks and noticed the option for program change messages on a footswitch. What does this actually do/ how would someone use this? I read the manual but I still don't really understand it. When I change it, i can't see anything happen on the ui for edrummin but i could also just be missing something obvious. I'm using note banks to switch between 4 different snares right now and love these modules.

You can't use a footswitch connected to your eDRUMin to generate program changes to change note banks. And why would you when there's already a purpose build 'Bank Change' mode. Only program change messages entering from the USB Port, Host Port, or MIDI DIN port can be use for bank changes. You could for example use a MIDI Expression plugged into the host port for that purpose.
