Can I use Roland's stero cables for splitting?

Eagerly awaiting my Edrumin 8, which should arrive any day now.
Now, I have nine pads, so I would need to split one of the inputs, haven't really made up my mind as on which to pads will share an input, but I haven't had any luck finding stereo to mono splitter cables with angled mono plugs. Some of the jack slots, are a bit tight even with Rolands angled stereo cables, so I'm figuring a non angled cable would be near impossible to put in a CY 12 cymbal slot for instance. And I'm trying to save a little money, so I'm wondering if the Roland TRS cables I already have could be plugged into a Male/Female splitter cable, or would this cause any kind of issues?
