Update of Roland TD-12 through eDRUMin?

Hi Rob

I am the happy owner for three years of an ED10, updated with latest firmware. I have recently bought a used TD-12 module, which I need to update the firmware of. Do you think I would be able to do that by connecting ED10 MIDI Out to TD-12 MIDI In and running the Roland update program on my PC that has USB connection to ED10? Or would it be necessary to purchase a dedicated MIDI/USB cable like the Roland UM-ONE?

I don't think it would be wise to update it via the eDRUMin. It should work, but it's something that hasn't been tested and you don't want to be left with a bricked TD-12.
