Issue skipping CC when playing hihat open and close hits quickly.

Post by bikerdan@gmail.com »

I have an issue where when I open and close the hats quickly, it will still send the pedal note, but it stops sending the CC info. This is an issue because I'm also hitting the hats and expect an open sound but I'm not getting it. I'm using the HiHat CC Mode. This does not happen when I use the Control Change mode (however this doesn't send the chicks and splashes that I need for SD3. It kinds of appears that there is a delay in sending CC info when playing the hihat pedal quickly.

I found my issue! I didn't realize there was an advanced option on eDRUMin. I was looking through the manual, realized that was a feature, found the Fast Stepping switch, toggled it, and BOOM! Problem solved! Hope this helps someone else.

That issue was recently fixed in version 2.3 BETA without needing to use the fast stepping option.

Thanks for the response. Do we know when that beta version is planned for release?

Also, I just want to say, this is an amazing piece of hardware and software. I love the power and flexibility it enables. Amazing.

There's a BETA thread where you can download the latest version. It's already well tested and has several big fixes for issues in version 2.2 and currently doesn't have any known issues. I probably won't officially release version 2.3 for a couple months just in case any other issues get reported.
