Trouble setting up Lemon 3-zone Cymbals

I have a lemon three zone , and was also trying to get the bell working. This is a roland clone that works on a td-17. The edge/ bow trigger work well. I see the cymbal and ‘Bell’ icons. I’m using Two TRS cables.
I took it apart and see whats ups. There are two identical circuit boards. One has the piezo and membrane switch , the other has the piezo jack empty and the bell membrane switch.
I swapped out the switch ribbon cable from the bell to the edge. The bell will trigger the the edge .
This thread indicates the is a compatibility issue with the lemons, though I have know the cymbal triggers fine on a Td-17.
If you have any suggestions. Whats the spec difference between the membrane switches brands?
The bell does trigger and switch to the bell icon when I plug into the e4.
I couldn’t get it to trigger by shorting the R-S like the roland switch graphic.

There's no compatibility issues, the lemon 3 zones work great with edrumin, this thread is about beefing things up with high performance edrumin bell sense and removing an input/cord. You should be able to experience full 3-zone compatibility as is, if you have two cords - I would suggest you might need to set things back to where they were previously with the board connectors and look into the cymbal type/preset instead and/or switching cords around if you're not getting proper 3-zone compatibility. My setup currently utilizes the lemon cymbals with the "Roland 3 zone pad" type and fine tuned from there. I guess it's also possible that there's a problem with the cymbal but if switching the connector on the circuit board changed things, I doubt it. Also maybe the configuration is just bad after messing around, maybe needs a channel reset?

This being the place for technical advice, do I need to start a another thread to receive information I need. Being an old crusty aerospace electronic engineer, I design , build and fix things that burble-burble meep-meep Pew.
I ran it back to orginal state a dozen times. I have been using this thing for a year trying to pound tubs rather than have another maker project.
I would now like to run a new lemon 3zone. Of course, the first thing is to remove a few screws to check the construction, working or not.
I may be a little lazy trying to research every little spec and guessing a solution.eg., Is the membrane resistive or capacitive. I am very familiar with membrane matrix pads. Its Probably the former. I have not rang out the cymbal jack or tried another pair of inputs.
Luckily for us there is a beautiful ots product with support forum that encourages people outside the box to build their own edrums.
The bow edge seems to function and trigger nominally.
The bell switch triggers the bow edge function nominally
Is there a simple way to simulate a bell input while in mode. Direct S-R doesnt work. Maybe a pull up resistor ? Pull-ups and clean grounds fix everything. Please Confirm the TRS termination contact for bell input.

So you have confirmed that the cymbal works fine. I assume you put the bell switch back were it was originally.
So with everything back together, what happens when you hit the bell? Does the 'BOW' light up or does the 'BELL' light up? Also, it would be helpful if you posted a screenshot of your settings for the cymbal.

Resolved: Bell Jack faulty. The bell jack shorts out when plugged in. Remove Jack then Bypassed. The bell trigger functions same as edge trigger. I found a replacement based on the appearance.

Hi, for an old crusty engineer this should be easy:

Oh dear, time flies!
Half a year later I make it to "convert" my 3 zones Lemon cymbals to a Yamaha style 3 zones cymbal.
At least 2 of them: The 18" ride and one of the 15" ones I am using as a hihat. The four 15" crash cymbals will follow,
no later than during the Xmas holidays.
Ok, see what I have done:

Greetings!
But... I noticed, triggering in the eDrumIn control software is consistent but in SD3 I get some "Xtalk" between
bell and tip trigger. I have to check the midi mapping.
But if you have enough inputs, you are fine now?
