Crash cymbals using breakout cable?

My DIY cymbals are dual zone (bow/choke switch). Can i use a break out cable (Hosa YPP-117- tip-ring) to have 2 crashes even though i loose the choke?

Don';t have one on hand to try, so thought I would ask

Yes, you can, but youll likely only get one zone per cymbal.

thankx Ron, I can deal with lossing the choke. Realistically, I rarely choke crashes on my acoustic kit. thankx
