I just got notified the eDRUMIN10 was available and I bought two of them immediately! My plan is to link two of them together through the Host USB port to create ~20 inputs. My question is, do I need to supply external power to one (or both) of the modules for it to work properly? Or is the 5v USB enough to power both of them?

My next concern is that my current USB cable from the TD-30 module (which I will not be using anymore) is about 20' and works fine with no notable latency but will I have power issues at this length? I guess it could be a test and we'll see...

Also, do these modules generate any heat to be concerned with? I want to make an enclosure to house the two modules in an aluminum project box and was just wondering...

You shouldn't need a power adapter. 20' is definitely pushing it in terms of length, but certainly wouldn't result in extra latency. In terms of heat, the ED10's use very little current, so heat won't be an issue. The only time heat would be of concern is if you are using an external power adapter and have high current draw devices plugged into the USB host port.
