What to do with the Snare cross-stick trigger

I have an e-conversion Snare drum with the usual centre-mounted piezo plus a piezo stuck to the inside of the shell. I use a Roland BT1 for cross-stick and everything works well. But I'm not sure what to do with the cross-stick notes created by the piezo. Is there a way of setting the parameters on the cross-stick information so it only triggered when played on a light velocity? My idea would be to assign a rim click for really low-velocity notes and the actual rim-shot trigger activate under louder notes.
