Alesis DM10 + eDRUMin for SD3?

Hi all! Just discovering these great modules, hoping for advice on incorporating into my setup. I rarely post questions because they're often covered if I search well... I'm still a bit stumped, and I bet folks here would know

I use Superior Drummer almost exclusively, with an old Alesis DM10 kit. Works for my use, after lots of tweaking.

I'd love to access positional sensing for snare and ride, plus maybe a nicer hi-hat that uses an actual pedal and/or achieves more realism in SD3. Research turned up Roland TD27 (very expensive for me), or hopefully eDRUMin with the appropriate pads. The rest I think the DM10 does well enough for now

Can anyone suggest cost-effective ways to make that happen? Many thanks in advance!

Search here for posts about Hall effect hi-hat pedal sensing. This method involves retrofitting a hi-hat stand and is pretty easy to make. It will work with the eDRUMin. I think your Alesis snare will work with the eDRUMin - it appears to be a two zone center mounted piezo so POS should work.

Thanks a million @dsteinschneider - I'm into DIY and wouldn't have found that info on my own, much appreciated! Coincidentally, researching ride cymbal pads I found multiple threads on the vdrums forum you participated in, which helps even more! Will keep digging, and meanwhile I placed my order for a single eDRUMin to add to the DM10. Psyched for it, thanks again!

Glad that helped. You will love the eDRUMin, the software makes it a breeze to setup
