macOS app is not compatible with APFS

Post by dawidchyrzynski »

Hi Rob,

First of all thank you for the awesome product. I really appreciate - as a senior software engineer - work you have do so far. It's a piece of solid product!

I would like to share my finding in eDRUMin Control on macOS (Monterey). The app doesn't seem to be compatible with APFS filesystem (case sensitive paths). After installing the app I noticed that some features were not available (missing presets, missing firmware upgrade and lack of ability to open PDF manual). From the app stdout I noticed that it tries to access "~/.Audiofront" directory whereas installer creates "~/.AudioFront" dir (upper case "Front"). Renaming directory to proper one solves my problems but it seems that the app still tries to access some files using wrong path (e.g. it tries to access "eDrumIn.pdf" file whereas file is "eDRUMin.pdf"). It's not a big deal for me as I can quickly fix this on my side but for average user it may be quite surprising.

Thanks for pointing that out. I will fix it for future builds. Of you notice any other filename inconsistencies, let me know.
