In terms of getting the right feel with dynamics, that's what the velocity curves are for. You'll probably want to use settings similar to what Gregooooze showed you in his screenshot.

If you are having troubles with accurate positional sensing, perhaps increase your scan time a bit. Maybe bump it up to 2.5 ms.

HOLD time should also be increased to around 10 - 15ms. The way you have it set in your screenshot, you are going to run into troubles with double triggering when you hit close to the edge of the pad. Once you've increased the HOLD time, you'll find you'll be able to tighten the DECAY, and that will make your rolls roll a lot better. Please keep in mind that the transient display is not linear. A 1cm gap near the front of the transient represents about 1ms of time, but 1cm gap near the tail end of the transient represents about 100 ms. When you scan settings are dialed in well, you should see almost no brown in the scrolling view like in this screenshot from my Roland PD-125.

You have an excellent pad and the feed back I've received from Drum-Tec indicates that their pads perform exceptionally well with eDRUMin. You just need to get a better understanding of what the controls are doing.

Hi,

sorry Rob... I don't get this.

I thought the brown peaks indicated the x-talk cancellation.
Oh ... no, that are the red peaks.

Errrr ... What do the brown peaks indicate?

Ah, sorry,

blue, head?
brown, rim?

Or - the brown peaks display the envelope formed by the scan settings?

There's a lot of information in that view, albeit hard to see.

There are two shades of blue, lightblue is the rim sensor, dark blue is the head sensor, red is crosstalk cancellation, and the brown in the combined envelope of the decay curve and threshold.
