I have a eDRUMin10 with a Yamaha RHH-135 hi hat.
I have configured the pedal with the "Hihat Mode Levels" option and mapped the levels to the various notes. All of this is working correctly and I get appropriate articulations, chicks, and splashes.
What isn't working for me is the "Always send Closed" option.
Pedal is fully open, strike cymbal, get open articulation note.
Press pedal to fully closed slowly enough to not make a chick
I expect to get a pedal closed or tight note with minimum velocity, but no note is sent and the open note continues to ring. I have verified in MIDI-OX that the closed note is not being sent, the only thing in the monitor is the fully open note.
I wonder if this might be related to the fact that the RHH is inverted (Fully opened reads 0).
Is there a setting that I might have missed to get this working correctly?
Always Send Close with Yamaha RHH-135
Re: Always Send Close with Yamaha RHH-135
Can you send a screenshot of your hihat settings?
Re: Always Send Close with Yamaha RHH-135
It almost certainly is related to the invert control. That hihat controller should work using the hihat pedal type instead of the expression pedal type. I believe then you we will no longer need that invert enabled (I can't remember, to be honest)
I'll test a little later this morning, but I suspect that's the solution.

Fantastic. Please let me know if I can provide any further information.
Re: Always Send Close with Yamaha RHH-135
Tested here with using my HH-65 setup using the expression pedal type and the hihat pedal and in both cases the 'Always send Closed' works properly.
So why isn't it working for you? My best guess is that your pedal is not properly calibrated. Currently eDRUMin arbitrarily decides that the the pedal is closed when when its CC value reaches 124. If you press your pedal and the CC value never goes all the way down to 124, then it won't send that closed pedal note. There's probably some room for improvement here. In Hihat Level mode, I can probably use the hihat transition point between loose and closed as the threshold for sending the closed pedal note. I'll put that own on my list of things to do for version 1.5.1.

Re: Always Send Close with Yamaha RHH-135
It appears that you are correct.
I tweaked the calibration a bit and I am now getting low velocity pedal notes when I close the pedal.
