Dave over at Diamond Percussion is willing to send me a trigger plate to try out.
His note is: "Regular plates are set up for Roland module type sensitivity. Sonic balance is set for hot modules like mimic and efnote that have to be dialled back so I made them plug and play by rebalancing head and rim."
Which one do you think I should have him send?

(Also what do you think is the best head to get for this build? I am initially thinking a black Drum tec Real Feel 3-ply, but remember you saying 3-ply was a no-no.)
