Tell me my EDI4 isn't just dead.

Post by i420piate »

I noticed a firmware update was out for the EDI4 and EDI8 (I forgot about not doing it through a hub), but the update worked. But after it the EDI4 was randomly disconnecting. so then unplug it and replyg it again and I went to downgrade the EDI Mac OS Control app and subsequent downgrading of firmware on each unit. The progress started and then the app just said "plug in your eDRUMin", I can't get this unit to even show power now. I plugged it into the USB in Windows and a Mac, but nothing, read that the 9v jack uses BOSS style 9v polarity, unplugged power from my DS-1 Distortion pedal and plugged it into the eDRUMin4 hoping to see some form of power LED light up, ...and nothing. Dear God I hope there is some way to reflash the firmware. Has anyone else had this issue? I've searched the forums for "reset" "hard reset" and such...

There should be a file called MEC_Log.txt on your desktop. Can email that to support at audiofront dot net and I'll help you recover the device.
