Delete function for 'note off'

Post by Bart D »

Hello
Is it possible to turn of the "note off" midi messages when I hit my pads?
I also control the opacity of my visuals with the velocity but the "note off" screws things up because its seen as a low velocity and turns my opacity down. (I play drums and visuals at the same time / loud hit = bright visuals, quiet hit= low light visuals - It works perfect when theres no note off message)
Thank you!
Bart

(workaround is a midi filter max device in ableton but its not low latency)

There's no way to do it at the moment, but might be possible in future versions via a MIDI Transformer type processing.

it's doable using an Event Processor to filter the note off mesages with one line of code:
