Every time I power on the ED4 it will not work unless I update the firmware. Once the firmware is updated it has my current settings and works fine until I power it off and on again.

eDrumin 4 keeps having to download firmware on startup
Re: eDrumin 4 keeps having to download firmware on startup
Can you see if updating to the latest version of the control application fixes the issue?
Re: eDrumin 4 keeps having to download firmware on startup
That seems to have corrected the issue.
Re: eDrumin 4 keeps having to download firmware on startup
Can you do another screenshot of your firmware section. I think you might have the wrong firmware revision installed.
Re: eDrumin 4 keeps having to download firmware on startup
Once I restarted again it did the same. I did the update then checked it and it wanted another update this time. So I did.
Re: eDrumin 4 keeps having to download firmware on startup
Good day Rob. Issue is still happening. When they have been powered off for more than few minutes it keeps wanting to update firmware on startup. Only the ED4 but neither will work until update is done, then work fine until next power off.

Hi JDrummer,
Your device is an ED4R4. Older versions of the control application do not have firmware for that device. I recommend using the latest version of the Control Application, and at least version 2.1. It seems to me there's a good chance you have managed to install the wrong firmware on your device.
Please send me an email to support at audiofront dot net and I'll help you get the device up and running properly.
