HiHat could use some help with calibration?

Post by Ronyd »

Not sure if this belongs in DIY, but my hihat is 2 piece Zildjian low volume cymbals, with optical sensing, and Myrk edge membrane.

After reading everything in the manual for calibration, settings are not too bad, but dealing with splash settings I'm just not quite sure.

Also, when hihat is closed, striking with the butt and tip (ie., 1/8th note hihat playing), a get an edge with shoulder which i expect, but getting more of an open sound, versus the tip is what i expect?

attached are a few screenshots showing settings.

any help is appreciated ..

After you are done calibrating, you should click the 'calibrate' button again to turn it off. Have you enabled the 'invert CC' option for the hihat inside Addictive Drums?

Hi Rob, yes AD2 cc invert is selected and you can see the correct open and closed working correctly. Also, i do infact click to calibrate button off when done.

I don't think you want to invert the CC in the eDRUMin control application. If I recall, you need to invert it in Addictive Drums.
