2 eDRUMin10's, 1 eDRUMin4 hookup question

Post by hang12 »

What's the optimal way to connect these? Daisy chain eDRUMin10>eDRUMin10>eDRUMin4, or use a USB2 hub between one eDRUMin10 to feed the other devices? It seems like hubs can negatively affect firmware updates, if for no other reason. thanks.

Hub. While it will probably work hooked up as you described, the ED4 wouldn't be seen in the control application.

Is there a difference or preferred hookup between either of the following setups?

Mac>ED10>hub>ED10
--------------|>ED4
(hub feeds both the 2nd ED10 and the ED4)

or

Mac>ED10>ED10
Mac>hub>ED4

the second one is definitely easiest for my setup, with an ED4 only on the hub, but I obviously want the app to see all of the devices.

Both setups will work fine. The only difference is that in the second setup, the ED4 will not get any crosstalk cancellation information from the 2 ED10s.
