I wonder..
Could a guitar bridge piezo work as a drum piezo too?
(for a DIY roland BT-1 or similar bar)

Wider sensing area. IF it could work as I dream it would

They can be bought cheap at ebay, so maybe it's worth trying out?

So.. I couldn't wait and just ordered one in the second picture, dirt cheap on ebay.
Must try it out, and at least get some knowledge about it. Learning by doing.

Not sure how you'll fit a bridge one. I've got a £4 ukulele one that works well on my cymbals
