I'm building some converted low volume cymbals, after discovering Alibaba, 8 full size 8"-18" for £100 delivered! including an 18" china: https://m.alibaba.com/product/606471298 ... ymbals.htm

However I've totalled up the cost for the goedrum triggers with edge switches and it's come to ~£400 including delivery.

I wondering how well edrumin's edge sense (and bell sense for the ride) performs with a single piezo, on larger metal 14-18" cymbals as this reduces the cost to about £25..!

I couldn’t get Bell Sense to work on 2 zone or 3 zone metal cymbals from Jobeky or FIELD. So I wouldn’t go all in until you do some testing on your own.

Check out Myrk switches for sale at VDrums. I'm sure it would be cheaper.

I would love to get me a set of LV cymbals... I'll check them too.

I should be more precise... the Jobeky’s were the Real Feel cymbals and not their LV. I don’t think it will make a difference but I’d still give it a shot. Wiring may play a big part in this. Rob would have to go into details on what Bell Sense is looking for for triggering. I recently sent him a 3 zone Jobeky Real Feel ride. Maybe he can work his magic some more.

Thanks, I've heard lots about Myrk. I'll start with the cheap piezo, see how edrumin behaves edge and bell sense, and build up from there.

I got a set of zildjian LV converted from Diamond Drums in the UK, they should arrive next week, you should consider him as well, he wires his cymbals for roland modules and are top notch.

Found a set of LV cymbals for £19, us$25, over next door.... 14", 14", 16", 20".
That'd be easy to try.

Let us know how it works, because I just received my piezo and my LV Cymbals, but not ordered the eDrumin yet due to shipping.

I was planning on testing the conversion with my current cheap module, but if there's better result with the eDRUMin, maybe I'll wait before trying to get them to work.

I was wondering what piezo size did you used, where did you place it and how did you stick it? Maybe there's a thread with this info?

I'm trying to trigger LV Cymbals (16 crash) too with a 27mm piezo. The triggering is fine but I can hardly pass half the velocity and the gain is 20.

I also have 35mm piezo but I thought 27mm would be enough. Also I bought murata piezo instead of cheap Chinese one I had.

Once it works I'm planning to had myrk membrane. If I can't make it work I'll have to use goedrum triggers but it's more expensive.
