ED4 midi device not defaulting to checked in SD3

Post by bpjacobsen »

Not sure if this is a question for here or in the toontrack forums but will post in both. So I have 2 ED8 and an ED4. The ED8 boxes both always default to being enabled in SD3 Midi settings. But everytime I open SD3, I have to go into midi settings and check the box again to enable the ED4. Anyone know how to get this to stick so I don't have to enable it everytime?

Definitely not an issue with eDRUMin software. But why don't you just connect the ED4 to the host port on one of your ED8s?

I initially tried that but it was not showing up in the ED software. Also, at this point, I have all working other than the issues I mentioned. If I connect to a host port, will it mess up my midi mappings? Don't want to have to re-do them all again. I have a 4 port USB hub connected to the pc. it's not powered. but I don't think it will make any difference. I have ed8 to ed8 and I tried ed4 to the open ed8 usb port but the 4 was not showing up in the ED software. Only shows up when I connect it directly. Not sure what I'm doing wrong?
