Building custom set

Post by bbuster90 »

Hello,

At the moment i am having a Millenium MPS-850 but want to sell it and build my own electric set (Acoustic to digital conversion).
I want to 3D print or CNC some parts and try to build it as "cheap" as possible, that means, amazon piezo's and self made constructions.

The cymbals need to be a bit more decent so i think Lemon's or Rolands?
For the controller i want to buy an eDRUMIN 10 (but unfortunately they seem out of stock for a while).

Will i be able to use position sensing if i make a 2 zone snare for example, do i need a single piezo in the middle and one connected to the shell for the rim?

What about a 3-cone design, this will not have position sensing? And can a 4 cone design (3 at the edge and 1 in the middle) be able to have position sensing? And does it have improvements over a single cone in the middle?

All the tips will be welcome.

Thanks, and if anyone has tips or information i will be grateful, also about the eDRUMIN 10 modules (if they will be back in stock soon).
