Hey all - gearing up for eDRUMin v2, I decided to create a DIY drum mapper for my eDRUMin10's, but started with the HPD-10 as a test case.

For those unfamiliar with Max:

I'm posting screenshots at reduced size, hopefully not exceeding forum capacity here...
The patcher actually works well so far, and can easily be used with a eDRUMin4 as is, at least to cover the same quantity of 13 note output that the HPD-10 is capable of generating as MIDI note trigger messages.
For those who have Ableton M4L, Max for Live - I have included a single pad trigger patcher example. There is one example with no pad re-map or transposition, and another example with a re-map and transposition. You can use the screenshots to DIY, I won't be sending out Max files.
Logic and Cubase and other apps offer the same sort of 'transformer' tools.
This patcher has a lot of expansion capacity, but for now it simply stores and recalls scenes of re-mapped and transposed pad assignments.

Re: Max re-mapper patcher
the octave transposing keyboard map is especially useful for moving a map pattern by octaves for groups of triggers on various octave mapped instruments such as Native Instruments Battery 4's AfroCuban kit. The same pad pattern used for Tumba is transposed by octaves up to Conga, Quinto, Bongo. These octave offsets could also easily be 'range' triggered via the HPD-10's DBeam CC messages, or via a foot pedal, or an adjacent iPad. This kind of chromatic mapping is relatively common, and not General MIDI, and varies sample set to sample set.
