Will you post some pics of your setup and your calibration range on the edrumin?

I can confirm that the optical controller can be powered through the input of the edrumin. I connected the tip to vcc and ring to ao. I set the pedal to expression. It worked right away although I had to invert. Although the calibration range is half the size as it was when powered but a 5v adapter, it is now much more precise and smooth. Before it seemed too sensitive or jerky, I don't know how to describe it. I have not played it in practice but the edrumin monitor is much smoother now that it is powered by the edrumin.

Question for Rob. Currently running my controller using the expression setting now on a ed4 r1. It is working fantastic but was wondering if I could see an improvement if I move it to my ed4 r4. I know some pedal circuitry has changed. Guess I just want to know I'm experiencing the best of the best. Thanks Rob.

Thanks man. I'll give a comparison when I get some time. Can't imagine it being much better but I gotta try. I gotta say I am so in love with your device. I've been using edrumin since the ed4r1 and it just keeps getting better and better. And your involvement in this product/community is unreal. Thanks so much.

Hey Chris,
This is what i have with the wiring. HiHats are 3/4" spaced. When you reversed, only option was Yamaha Style and invert for me? ... see pic

Also, getting v4's and v5's when hihat open without using pedal. not sure what that is all about unless that is normal. May have to ask Rob.

IS this referring to 2.1.1 build 4 vs 2.1.1 build 5?

No it's not. It's referring to the hardware revision of ED4 and nothing to do with software / firmware.
