DIY Low Volume Ride

Hey guys. How exactly am I supposed to wire a LV ride for bow and edge? Bell is on another jack. I'm getting bow and edge suing goedrum membrane for edge and choke. I have what seems no velocity. Just harder strikes on edge and always full 127? Was hoping it had full range or better than this on edge sounds. Using SD3. I believe I have piezo ceramic to ring and copper to sleeve on piezo. Thanks.
