Hi all!
I'm currently working on a A2E conversion, and I am meeting some trouble during the process.
Since I'm quite a beginner on the (not-so) DIY of electronic drumming, I'm assuming I'm not doig this properly. I tried many things, but nothing seems to resolve this issue.
My Setup
Jobeky AI trigger (Center mounted snare trigger https://jobekydrums.co.uk/product/jobek ... er-system/)
Cable adapter NOT from Jobeky
TRS cable form an old Millenium kit (seems to work OK, with this trigger or others)
eDRUMin 10 (yay)
GarageBand
The issue
I can't get any signal from the off-center piezo.
I played with many things in the eDRUMin interface: stereo and mono settings, drum mapping, Yamaha wiring…
Center piezo (bar mounted) seems to work perfectly.
As stated first, I'm a beginner, and I will assume that I'm not doing it properly.
Maybe some of you can help me to identify where the trouble can be? (specially if it's between the drum throne and the sticks).
Thanks for your time!

Re: Question regarding Jobeki AI trigger / Center mounted snare trigger
Post a pic of this please. It needs to be a stereo cable, might be your issue.rhopa wrote: TRS cable form an old Millenium kit (seems to work OK, with this trigger or others)
Also, your 3.5mm to 1/4" adapter might not have a stereo plug at the other end (a lot of old iPod to PA cables did this). Worth unscrewing it and checking there are 3 connections in there.

This! Looks like there is only 2 connections. Thank you very much for your advice!MWJT42 wrote: Also, your 3.5mm to 1/4" adapter might not have a stereo plug at the other end (a lot of old iPod to PA cables did this). Worth unscrewing it and checking there are 3 connections in there.
Good lesson, I'll pay more attention for the next steps.

The Jobeky one seems pricey as £10, but might be worth it. The screw connector is neat too, once you've widened the vent hole.
Worth noting, my 3.5mm comes loose every now and then so I lose the ability to rim shot. A drop of superglue will solve this easily enough though.

Thanks again for your insight and experience, very much appreciated!MWJT42 wrote: Hooray!

I'm planning to get 2 more side triggers from Jobeky: I'll definitely won't miss the cables this time.
The combination with eDRUMin is really nice: I mean, the module makes things really easy to grasp for a beginner.
… And I'll get some super glue too, in case of emergency

Yeah, eDRUMin rocks. No longer are we playing feeling disappointed it's not our acoustic kits, or spending hours fettling.
