You are in a much better position to answer your question than I am. You have the cymbal. Does it work?

As for the waveforms, I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking at. Is the pad hooked up to the eDRUMin when you are measuring that signal? I assume it must be, but that doesn't look like a piezo signal. A piezo should produce an alternating current, but the voltage is only swinging in one direction. Looks like a switch to me.
