I’ve used an fsr build since the beginning of my journey down this rabbit hole 2 1/2 years ago. First under the pedal like jman (rip) had introduced. That was good but I wanted something more responsive so I tried in between the hats, inspired by sly. That has been pretty much ideal for my style. It very responsive and stealth which is what I’m going for. With my old td12 it was responsive enough but with the edrumin it is fantastic. Very subtle and responsive to all notes. I can’t compare to hall because I tried one and couldn't get it to work. Either my soldering was bad or sensor was bad. Either way I’m super content now with the simplicity and playability with the fsr.

Ive used both and the FSR is smoother and more responsive. Both were about the same level of complexity to install. As you can see from my pics above, im a bit OCD with finishing things off. You could do it and be alot less fussy with the overall finish if you just wanted something simple that works. Ill be sticking with the FSR for performance.

Just to be sure, when you say both you're talking FRS and Goedrum controller?

Holy crap, i built mine under pedal. I need to try this. I purchased the fsr from roboshop
https://www.robotshop.com/en/interlink ... e-fsr.html

If i do this maybe purchase a circular fsr.

So i can punch a hole in middle and not disrupt the operation of the fsr?

Great stuff 👌

I too found much of the diy from vdrums and sly 👏🏻

Yes use a sharp circular punch and it will be fine.
