Question about MIDI DIN Out

Am I correct that MIDI DIN connections should not add latency as long as the MIDI device receiving from the e10 is properly set up?

A MIDI message running on a MIDI cable takes about 1ms to propagate.

As long as I don't develop a "matrix condition" 1ms shouldn't be a problem

I'm leaving my "edrum station" as is but in order to record I'm running a cable from the E10 MIDI DIN out to MIDI DIN in on the Axe I/O Solo I use with my recording desktop. I tested it last night it seemed to work fine.
